Stena Line Port Update
We wish to provide an update on our Dublin – Holyhead service.
We would like to reassure you that Holyhead Port remains fully operational with 4 sailings each way each day.
As you are aware Terminal 5 (T5) was closed following a berthing incident in December 2025. Following detailed structural engineering assessments, it has been confirmed that remedial works are required. T5 is now expected to be operational at the end of June.
Before this incident, Stena Line Ports Ltd had already planned a major programme of berth enhancements, including substantial upgrades designed to improve overall port resilience. Stena Line Ports Ltd has now taken the opportunity to combine both the necessary repairs and the planned enhancement works. This approach makes efficient use of the T5 downtime and will help deliver long-term improvements to port infrastructure.
This is a significant engineering project involving extensive seaward and underwater operations. While the goal is to re-open T5, it is essential that all works are carried out safely, professionally, and to the highest standards of durability.
We would like to thank you for your ongoing co-operation and support during this period.
